Marjan Hols-Reis (1959) is an experienced professional photographer. After her studies and work in the fashion branch in Holland, she went to Portugal. There, as a young mother, she started to develop her talent for photography with passion. First, through photo’s of (her) children and pets. Later she expanded her field of work to people, travel and advertising photography. Her work is published in parenting, pets and lifestyle magazines. At first in Portugal and later all over Europe. On many occasions her work is used on a magazine cover. In the past few years Marjan’s work keeps following her interest. She has been taking on work from private clients and done projects for businesses. Recently she designed a style calendar, which will be selectively marketed. Marjan has her own studio, which is situated in a beautiful and relaxed environment. The studio is spacy and fully equipped with good lighting. It is, amongst others, suited for photography of children. Oh, straight to my heart again! Hands & their gestures are so important in my eyes. In his last few years, I became fascinated with my father's hands. As a tailor, everyone said he had 'magic hands'. but they were also big, strong, very expressive, even as they became weaker with age. Reminded me of an oak-tree. I have photos of our hands, other portraits where his hands almost speak for him......And as for my beautiful mum.."Las manos de mi madre parecian a um pajaro en el aire..." E entre essas manos, todo se volvia mágico!!

Mijn ouders zijn morgen 55 jaar getrouwd en laat ik nou voor mijn blogje ook het plan hebben gehad om hun handen zo te fotograveren!
Nou ja wel behoorlijk minder proffie natuurlijk :)
Ik ben echt verbaasd , onze dochters ook nog allebei op 10 juli jarig !!!
Je gelooft het niet maar ik ben op die dag helemaal vergeten om hun handen te fotograferen!! :):)Was te druk bezig om te helpen met de visite en had helemaal geen foto's gemaakt:):)
