Costa da Caparica looks good but..........
Yesterday in the morning I went to buy a new bag(school bag) for my son David to take to the beach in the afternoon.
For him not to spend to much money , he took food to eat. He was wearing his new bermudas bought at the freeport shopping spree(early on in the blog).
Costa da Caparica looks nice but it is NOT. After 2 hours my son telephones with the mobile phone of his friend (his roubed some mounths ago) they roubed his NEW bag with his clothes money and food.
So Costa da Caparica is not NICE!!

Marjan, did this happen inthe part of Caparica to the right of the centre,nearer to the Lisbon coast? It looks like it from these pictures.
We always go to the beach, Praia da Riviera, about 5 kms after Caparica in the Fonte de Telha direction. Once in early-Spring,we returned to the car to discover that the back had been broken into and the caixa CD stolen, along with the 6 CDs in it.
But it did not put us off, because those beaches are still the best anywhere near to Lisbon, mostly calm and accessible. Plus so little development, added to the marvel of the fishing that comes from the nets being pulled back to the beach, often with the added drama of up to 5,000 gaivotas in close attendane. I adore it!
this is the beginning of the costa da caparica you know in front of Barbos restaurant, The other time was the next beach is where all the surfers are.
