Well this is the time to show something of him. His grandmother mamireis.blogspot.com/ ) was already asking when is it his turn to be in my blog.Well here my surfer son,
He is a very busy boy with many friends, he will be 17 years in november. All days are different, he takes after his daddy.
Cabo Espichel, a wonderful place for photography because of the colours and the buildings that are deserted. Today I was going to write a blog about my son, I promised my niece( martadeamsterdam.blogspot.com)who is in Holland and misses us a lot. But the subject is mad because he got in a discussion with his father, so no new pictures from this end today. We will try again tomorrow.
Because of the post of Stewart in his blog lisbon-looks.blogspot.com/ about eyes, I rembered some of my pictures who where published in a book. This German book "Erklãr mir, warum" is a book for children explaining "why" of things. These pictures where used by the question "why do we have to close our eyes over? www.gondolino.de
These children have been photographed by my over four years now. They are so used to the camera and pose when I ask that I call them my SUPERMODELS. Then there are times that one doesn´t feel like working and shows it!
During my stay at my dear friends house in Holland, we went to visit the graveyard in Blaricum. There is an old part with the traditional graves, and a new part. This new part touched me profoundly. With so much love in the decoration of the graves. I have never seen something like this before. I tried to photograph it.
Today I have been photographing very nice sisters in the studio, one is pregnant and she wants some pictures to remember this time with. More of my pregnancy pictures threw this link,www.flickr.com/photos/afotografia/sets/72157594171755600/
Today we go on with pictures of my trip to Holland. My city is UTRECHT with de grachten. The shops alongside the grachten and ofcourse the Dom tower in the centre of the city. As I walk around Holland now as a tourist I look at the houses in a different way.
First day I spend in Holland was Amsterdam, it is not really my city but always good for photos. The amazing thing here is that you just walk or go on the bicycle and have everything around you shops, markets, bars...
There is a lot to see for me who lives her life in a small village in Portugal.
Just in between all the pictures of Holland an Belgium I am preparing, I would like to mention sold this picture for a postcard. Will be in the shops this mounths in Holland from the company www.biri.nl. They have very beautiful, simple postcards . I am very proud to have one of my pictures on there postcards!
Well I am back in blog world, I did miss it! Holland, one of the greatest things of this little overcrowed country is the BICYCLE: They are everywhere, and every one drives one, for fun, going to work, with children babies infront and in the back of the bicycle. This for the portugues in good and BAD wheather!
Marjan Hols-Reis (1959) is an experienced professional photographer. After her studies and work in the fashion branch in Holland, she went to Portugal. There, as a young mother, she started to develop her talent for photography with passion. First, through photo’s of (her) children and pets. Later she expanded her field of work to people, travel and advertising photography. Her work is published in parenting, pets and lifestyle magazines. At first in Portugal and later all over Europe. On many occasions her work is used on a magazine cover. In the past few years Marjan’s work keeps following her interest. She has been taking on work from private clients and done projects for businesses. Recently she designed a style calendar, which will be selectively marketed.
Marjan has her own studio, which is situated in a beautiful and relaxed environment. The studio is spacy and fully equipped with good lighting. It is, amongst others, suited for photography of children. The environment, the toys, the props together with Marjan’s personal and professional skills result in quality pictures with kids behaving naturally
